Angel (Angie) Favorite

Angie Favorite is an attractive and intelligent sixteen-year-old who lives with her grandmother and her brother Jason in a small town in Wisconsin. Five years before the start of the novel, Angie's mother, Laura Favorite, disappears without a trace on Angie's eleventh birthday. A few months later Angie's father is arrested on a bogus drug charge and she and her brother go to live with her grandmother, although her father remains very much a part of her life. In spite of everything that has happened to her, Angie is a normal and well adjusted kid who loves her family very much, and has never given up hope that her mother will come back someday.
