Chapters 12-15 Summary
Chapter 12. Mike takes Angie to a pontoon boat moored at the mansion's private dock. After they are out on the water he tells her that the boat belongs to his parents, and that they live on the other side of the lake. His family moved to the lake when he was little so that his father could keep an eye on his grandmother and Uncle Scott. As Mike guides the boat around the perimeter of the lake, he tells Angie stories about some of the mansions and the people who live in them. After a while they arrive at a brightly lit, gaudy looking place which Mike tells her is called Zaps Bar and Restaurant. He then tells Angie that he asked her to take a boat ride because there is something he wants to tell her without his grandmother being...
