Summary

Maya visits her mother in rehab. Her mother is excited to see her and exclaims that she is sorry for what she put her through, and that she wants her daughters to be proud of her. Maya admits to her that she tried to find her birth mother, but that she had died in a car accident. Maya tells her mother that she is her mom and that she loves her, because she raised her, and will lover her no matter what (363).
