Summary

Grace asks Joaquin to meet at Maya's house instead of the mall. When they arrive there, Joaquin is notices the baby pictures of Maya's family all along the wall of the staircase. Maya sits by the pool with her sister Lauren, and when Lauren leaves she lights a joint. Joaquin and Grace do not smoke with her. Maya hesitates, but then admits that she broke up with Claire. She also begins to cry, saying that her parents just got a divorce and she found her mother bloodied on the bathroom floor. She opens up about her mother's alcoholism and how it resulted in her falling and getting a concussion.
