Summary
In Chapter 13, Cath isn’t trying to make friends while at college, while Wren’s schedule is crowded with social activities. Cath remembers that the girls had always been this way. Even as children Wren got invitations to parties and Cath came along as a package deal. Cath also remembers to two going to therapy together when their mother left. Their mother left on September 11, making their teachers believe the girls were upset by the terrorist attacks. Their father didn’t tell the teachers any differently. He didn’t even tell his own mother what had happened until nearly eight months later.
Cath reaches for her laptop to write but her thoughts are interrupted by the phone ringing. Levi invites her to a party. She refuses. He asks her to finish reading her story to him. She tells him she won’t read...
