Summary
In Chapter 4, Cath is feeding the campus squirrels of which she sends a picture to Abel, her boyfriend whom Wren refers to as an end table. Nick from her fiction writing class approaches her and asks her about their most recent writing assignment. She is worried when he suggests they might have to read their work out loud.
Back in her dorm room, Reagan confronts Cath about her energy bar diet. When Cath admits that she doesn’t know where the dining hall is, Reagan insists that she go with her. Realizing how deeply anxious Cath is, Reagan asks her why she isn’t on drugs. Reagan says she is taking drugs, which she calls wonderful things.
