Summary

In Chapter 8, at the storage facility, Vikram ran into the woman who owned the unit with the blue light. Her name was Lida Cristaudo, and she was a colleague of Dr. Mornay's (the woman who created the Gate), who was sent through the Gate on an exploratory mission before the first batch of UDPs. The blue light emanated from a device she was using to attempt to contact the other universe. She had thus far been unsuccessful, but she was determined to keep trying. Vikram was disappointed.
