Summary

Apá brings Isaac home at 8:00 p.m., and Isaac is excited to tell his mom about his father’s new television. Amá spent a lot of time making dinner for Isaac, and it has gone bad. Isaac apologizes to her, but he does not know how much weight his apologies hold anymore because he has said he is sorry so many times in his life. Amá is angry with Apá because while he was showing their son electronics, she was taking care of school emails. Because she is angry, her accent comes out. She asks Apá how much he knows about Isaac’s schooling, and Apá turns the criticism on Isaac telling him that he has to be more responsible for keeping track of his own things. Isaac’s parents send him to his room to get things prepared after he apologizes...
