Summary
In "Time Is Brain," the ambulance arrived. Claire had been holding her dad's hand and recounting a happy memory. The paramedics did a series of tests that showed he may have had a stroke. Claire felt anxious. Her dad kept saying words that made no sense. In the ambulance, the paramedics told Claire once they got to the hospital they would run more tests. They had to give him a medicine, TPA, within three hours of the stroke, or he would not recover. They told her, "Time is brain" (54). Claire texted her mom and Matthew.
