Callum

Callum is a boy who is about 15 years of age. He was born in Ireland and was sent to toil in workhouses. His mother and sister were sent to a different workhouse and died, likely of typhus. Callum’s father was accused of being against British rule and was subsequently hanged. At the age of eight, Callum was sent to the United States, where he became displaced and began to make a living by stealing horses. He was eventually taken in by a gang of bandits led by a man known only as the Colonel. Callum eventually leaves the gang in order to protect Ava and to help bring her to safety.

Callum and Ava ride together through Georgia as they are pursued by Clayburn and the former followers of the Colonel. Callum and Ava soon fall in love. Eventually, Callum leaves Ava behind in an attempt to...
