Point of View
Fall; Or, Dodge in Hell is told from the perspective of an omniscient third-person narrator. Generally, each chapter is told from one character’s point of view to maintain some narrative consistency, though some chapters use multiple characters’ points of view. Dodge is the point of view character for the first two chapters, and then does not appear again in the narrative (though he is often referenced) until halfway through the book, where he is then referred to as Egdod. Corvallis, Zula, and Maeve all serve as point of view characters throughout the novel. Sophia is not a point of view character when she is a child, but later does serve that role when she grows up and begins work.
