Summary
In Chapter 28, Dodge, using wings he has imagined for himself, observes his world and the new people arriving inside of it, feeling envious that they have not had to suffer through nothingness as he did. He names himself Egdod, unable to remember his real name. He continues to expand his world. The new people begin to slowly take on more solid forms. One person in particular models themselves after Egdod and follows him, and Egdod names him Ward. More souls arrive and take residence in the homes in town, though some choose to remain in areas of nature Egdod has fashioned, and Egdod calls them wild souls.
In Chapter 29, Zula holds the conference for the third year in a row and shows a rudimentary version of a map of the place Egdod has built.
