Summary
Chapter Twenty Five: May and June 1917, returns to Lev who runs a nightclub in Buffalo. Now, however, he is disappointed by Olga who disapproves of everything he does. So, he hired a dancer named Marga who became a star of the club and one of many of Lev’s love affairs. However, they are caught by Josef who punches Magda in the face. He tells Lev he will be working at the Foundry. Josef explains that the factory makes fans for airplanes, ships, and engines. The men want a pay raise, but Josef wants his money back. Lev meets the secretary of the union Brian Hall who demands that they be given goggles. Josef refuses and they return to their house where Lev meets his daughter, Daisy, whom he adores.
