Summary
After a few weeks in Berlin, the narrator decides that she will try to remain there long-term. Online, she researches possible ways of acquiring a long-term visa, but there do not seem to be any clear or straightforward solutions. In the meantime, she acquires a job as a babysitter. Her employer, Genevieve, is a young mother who has twin infants. During the interview, seemingly out of habit, the narrator lies about certain aspects of her life. While working for Genevieve, the narrator tries not to mention those lies again. In the meantime, the narrator continues to go on dates with men she meets online.
