Summary

In Chapter 31, Charlie is not sure how long he spent in recovery, but he was aware that he was reverting from a prince back to his old self. Meanwhile, the people afflicted with the gray disease began improving.

Charlie was also visited by the living as well as the dead as he recuperated. During one visit, Lord High tried to convince Charlie he was getting worse and would die.

One day Claudia and Doc Freed came to visit Charlie. Freed’s infected leg had been amputated and he was improving. When Freed and Claudia examined Charlie’s wound, they declared that it was healing though his days of playing sports were probably finished.

Charlie sent for Pursey to visit because Pursey did not come on his own. Pursey told Charlie the people were cleaning the streets. They had gotten the fountains restarted...
