Summary

In Chapter 24, Iota said he did not think Charlie could beat Cla, but said that Cla did have a weakness. Iota did not tell Charlie what that weakness was.

Charlie went over and over Iota and Cla’s encounter in the cell trying to determine what Cla’s weakness might be. When it was time for Charlie and Cla to fight, Iota pointed to the side of his face as Charlie was leaving. As Charlie continued to study Cla’s behavior, he realized Iota had been mimicking a horse’s blinder. Cla had limited peripheral vision.

Charlie believed that from the beginning the game had been rigged in Cla’s favor. They had to sprint to baskets to retrieve weapons. The weapons of choice were next to Cla. Charlie grabbed a fighting stick which he eventually used to choke Cla. Just before Charlie...
