Summary

In Chapter 5, Charlie walked Radar to his home and found his father sitting on the porch with his pipe. The pipe indicated George wanted to have a serious conversation. George first offered his help. When Charlie declined his offer to help, George asked Charlie why he wanted to take care of Bowditch by himself so badly. Charlie suggested they consider it a pay-it-forward type of situation because he was grateful his father was no longer an alcoholic.

George commented that Radar was well-behaved and noted he believed Charlie had already fallen in love with her. He asked Charlie if he thought Bowditch would really reimburse them for the things they had bought for him. He added his concern that he was able to find very little information about Bowditch.
