Chapter 1 Summary
Eyes of Prey is the third book in the Prey series by John Sandford. This book, like the two prior novels, features Lucas Davenport, a Minneapolis police detective. This novel picks up a short time after the previous novel with Lucas still dealing with the depression an injury to his infant daughter and the abandonment of his child and woman left him with.
Carlo Druze lets himself into the garage of the Bekker home, precisely following the instructions given to him by Michael Bekker. Druze silently enters the house through the breezeway between the garage and the kitchen. At the sink, Stephanie Bekker is thinking about her lover, who is at that moment taking a shower upstairs. Druze grabs a heavy bottle used as decoration on the kitchen table and begins to beat Stephanie about the head, trying to remember everything Michael Bekker...
