Part 3, Leaving Home: Chapters 35-41 Summary
In Captive Audience, Aya wakes in a hovercar that is caught in a rainstorm. Tally immediately begins explaining to Aya that she had them all kidnapped intentionally so that they might infiltrate the strange shaped people's camp and find her friend. Tally asks for Aya's help. Aya is angry and refuses until Tally offers to make her an honorary cutter.
In Advanced English, Aya has Shay help her wake Ren, Hiro, and Frizz. Aya then tells them in Japanese what is happening. They all come to the quick realization that Tally's plan cannot work because of Frizz's radical honesty, but Aya is afraid that if they tell Tally about Frizz, she will kill him. Before they can decide what to do, two of the oddly shaped people comes into the cargo hold.
