Summary
In Chapter 20, the kisaeng went to a noble Han for help escaping. The friend warned her not to, as she had had a fight with him and feared the noble would kill them both. The kisaeng visited the noble anyway, and learned that he wanted to marry her friend.
In Chapter 21, after another inspiring visit with Lidija, Jin visited the florist. She brought a large bouquet home, telling Philip it was for her work. She needed to talk to him about Lidija, but put it off again. She edited Lidija’s photos and sent some over, letting her use them as she liked (133). Meanwhile, Jin continued working on her own project, unsure what she was doing. She still did not know how to resolve her issue with Philip. She continued visiting Lidija twice a week (134). She read the epistles in the meantime.
