Chapters 66-71 Summary
Rapp gives Irene the latest information on David - that he arrived in Washington, DC. Rapp asks about checking with the Mossad and Irene says the president won't allow it. At this point, even Irene is beginning to suspect the Israelis. She mentions the possibility of David being sent by the Israelis to dupe Prince Omar. Rapp is very doubtful of her theory. Irene says they need to inform the FBI. Then they hear the explosion.
In chapter sixty-seven, Marcus Dumond is at the CTC checking Omar's finances. He is concentrating on Devon LeClair, Omar's assistant in Switzerland. He notices a series of five hundred thousand dollar transfers to a bank in Martinique. He has found one million dollars in transfers to Peter Jousard, the French ambassador to the United Nations.
