Chapters 51-55 Summary
David already has his train ticket to Washington, DC. After leaving the Armory, he returns to his hotel for his belongings. He disposes of the rifle in a garbage dumpster and rides in a taxi to the train station.
In chapter fifty-two, Rapp and others arrive at the White House for a meeting. The president is angry about the assassination of the Palestine ambassador. He says he wants to the case solved. Irene says that Freidman says the Mossad doesn't know anything about the killing and that the story about the bomb factory in Hebron is false. They wonder if they can trust Freidman.
