Chapters 46-50 Summary
Rapp arrives at Irene's office while she is talking to Anna on the phone. Irene is angry with Rapp. She hadn't been told that he'd been shot and tells him that he is one of the best counter terrorist minds in the country and he won't be allowed in situations of danger again.
In chapter forty-six, Rapp is slowly seeing things from Anna's point of view. He is at the White House to meet with the president. The president tells him that there is a press conference scheduled to announce the prosecution of Assistant Secretary of State Petry and Ambassador Cox for the security breech. The talk then turns to the situation in Hebron. Satellite photos indicate that there was an explosion before the Israeli missile attack. The president wants answers from Freidman and Israel.
