Chapters 16-20 Summary
Rapp's plane lands at Clark Air Force base in the Philippines. A black Continental limousine is waiting for them, along with Lieutenant General Sergio Rizal, who is the head of the Philippines army. Rizal reads the file and concludes that General Moro is a traitor. Rapp suggests they court martial Moro, but the scandal would be bad for the country. Rapp explains his plan to Rizal.
In chapter seventeen, the plane that brought Rapp to Clark Air Force Base flies Coleman and his men to Samar Island, where they land on an airstrip owned by a Japanese businessman who isn't in residence at the time. A helicopter lands to pick them up.
