Chapters 11-15 Summary
Valerie complains to the president after Rapp leaves, saying that Rapp doesn't see the implications for the presidency that the scandal will cause. It will cause trouble for the president's re-election. Kennedy agrees, but says there is nothing they can do about it. Too many people already know what has happened. Jones loses her battle over keeping a lid on the situation.
In chapter twelve, David knows he should have just killed Hamza and left the little girl for the police to deal with, but he didn't. He ties Hamza to the bed and cuts out his tongue. Then he shoves a handful of counterfeit bills in Hamza's mouth. When Hamza sees the bills, he knows the masked man is David, who then cuts off his genitals. Instead of killing him, David decides to leave him there bleeding.
