Point of View
The story is written in third person with the point of view coming from several different characters. This allows for an omniscient view that gives the reader detail in regard to what each person is thinking. While the point of view in the story will come from many different characters, the two characters in the story that are most often shadowed are Dr. Henry Conklin and his nephew Sam Conklin. While much of the story will come from these two characters, the other characters in the book will each be focused on in order to show the reader what that particular character knows that the other did not. The collective point of views in the story will give the reader knowledge enough to piece together facts and opinions before the individual characters.
