Summary

In the story “The Little Sisters of Eluria,” while exploring a deserted village, Roland Deschain was accosted by men with green skin. Roland remembered them beating him with clubs before he lost consciousness. When Roland returned to consciousness, he could hear singing. He realized the singing was coming from bugs, not people. Roland tried to turn his head, but cried out when he felt pain in his back, head, and leg. He was comforted by a hand stroking his forehead. A woman’s voice told him to be still and heal.

Later, Roland woke again. He was in what appeared to be a beautiful white tent made of silk. Beds lined each wall of the tent. There was a boy in the bed next to him. Further down the row was an old man. The other beds were empty. Roland...
