The trailer is located in a trailer park among other trailers. This fact—along with the fact that Mitch and Mayfly are in a trailer—is not actually conveyed to the reader until almost the end of the story. When Mitch looks at the trailer park through a window in his own trailer, he views the surroundings with a sense of realism and dourness.
