Summary
Kate has lost thirty pounds before being referred to a gastrointestinal surgeon. She has spent the last three months dealing with sudden and sharp stomach pains and even now, the surgeon says that the results of her tests are inconclusive. She insists that he run further tests and the following CT scan leads to her cancer diagnosis and the need for immediate intervention.
Bowler then meditates on whether or not God is fair. According to the prosperity gospel, God is not only fair, God is expected "to rain down blessings" on his followers (7).
