Summary

Sunam has not heard from Juno in weeks and assumes he has been dropped as a prospective Circle member. Sunam is not happy about this, but is not devastated either. The Circle has always represented the future to Sunam, but he does not want to worry about the future anymore. He wants to worry about the present, and also Namin, who he is excited to have in his life.

Sunam stops in to play cards with his Mighty friends. “With these guys, the game was the game. Cards, not life” (155).
