Summary

In Chapter 33, in the snowstorm, Gavin leads Ern, Juliette, Andy others to the chairlift to search for Lucy. Ern notes the differences between the aesthetics of Sky Lodge and Gavin’s SuperShred Resort. The group is concerned for Lucy’s welfare. When Gavin takes them into the resort, electronic music is blaring with a crowd dancing. Gavin takes Ern to his computer and Ern searches online for more info on Black Tongue, the victims, including Alison Humphreys, and Lucy’s Instagram account. Gavin tells Ern about an older couple named McAuley.

In Chapter 34, Edgar and Siobhan McAuley welcome Ern. They ask Ern if he found “her” (291). Ern replies yes, but he mentions complications.
