Chapters 10 - 18 Summary
In Chapter 10, the next morning, Lucky overhears his mother and Jodi talking, and Jodi says Lucky is depressed. Jodi says that Lori is also depressed, as is her husband, Vic, and they need not to ignore the problems in their lives. After Dave goes to work, Lucky begins reading "Catch-22" by Joseph Heller. Lori swims, and Jodi watches television. Lucky wonders how this is better than life back at home.
Lucky dreams of being interviewed by Dr. Phil about Nader. Dr. Phil tells Lucky he needs to let out what's inside. Lucky's grandfather then comes swinging in to rescue Lucky, and they go to his grandfather's tree. Harry talks about Janice and all their old friends, before the war, and how most of their group of friends was claimed by the war. Lucky talks to his grandfather about his own lack...
