Ally

Ally Holden is the first essayist and character presented in Every Soul a Star. Ally has been raised by her parents on Moon Shadow Campground for as long as she can remember. Her life has been quite isolated. While she meets campers from time to time she mostly only sees her parents and her brother Kenny. In homeschooling, Ally has learned an enormous amount about astronomy and has come to love the universe and astronomical phenomena along with nature on earth. Ally is content with her life and happy to grow up where she is until her parents present her with a life-challenging decision - they have decided to hand Moon Shadow over to another family and take them to a city or suburb. Ally is distraught.
