Chapters 16 and 17 Summary

In chapter sixteen, Mrs. Bethany leads the group going after Lucas. The group consists of Mrs. Bethany, Adrian and Celia, Balthazar, and Professor Iwerebon. There is a discussion that Lucas might have a stash of weapons somewhere on campus and Bianca realizes they are in the storage room on the fourth floor. Bianca remembers Lucas' reluctance to go to the storage room on the fourth floor and directs the group there. They find the remains of a vampire in the trunk and know that Lucas killed Erich and left his corpse there. Bianca insists that she accompany the group. Mrs. Bethany says Bianca can go. Celia objects, saying Bianca is only a child but Mrs. Bethany points out that Bianca is part of the reason Lucas knows so much about the vampires. Mrs. Bethany then says Bianca could complete her transformation...
