Chapters 9 and 10 Summary

In chapter nine, Bianca says she feels as if she and Lucas belong together, but she battles the feeling that she's lying to him, especially when he continues to question the accident. One weekend, Lucas joins Bianca and her parents for dinner. She says her parents are perfect hosts, even eating some of the food they prepare for Lucas.

Only vampires attend the class called "modern technology." It teaches the operation of basic technology, such as microwaves and iPods. Several of the vampires are making comments about Bianca biting Lucas. Erich says Lucas must have "and aftertaste" but several point out that fresh blood is good, regardless of the source. The teacher gets the conversation back on track. Bianca admits to herself that she sometimes thinks she "would do anything" for the opportunity to drink Lucas's blood again, and that feeling...
