Chapters 29 through 32 Summary
In Chapter Twenty-nine, Ever puts on a show of being sober for Sabine then rushes back to her bottle of liquor the moment Sabine is out of the house. She naps and wakes to find a feather on her bed like the one Damen had taken from her Halloween costume. She also finds a painting drawn by Damen and left in the back of Ever's car since his departure. The picture is of a woman in a canyon. Ever knows Damen has been in her room. Without knowing why, she dresses, gets the keys from Sabine's hiding place, and drives to a hiking trail. She's there when Miles calls. Miles says he's figured out where Haven has gone - to a gathering in a canyon - and that he's gone after her. Ever says she's nearing that place herself though she...
