Chapters 18 through 20 Summary

In Chapter Eighteen, Damen is waiting at Ever's house when she arrives. He says his charm and expensive car worked together to get him past the guard at the gate. Ever is a little nervous about letting Damen in the house but does. In the hall on the way to her room, Riley runs right into Ever, saying she's sorry they argued before noticing Damen. Ever doesn't acknowledge Riley and hopes she'll disappear until later. Riley doesn't take the hint and the three of them go to the game room. When Damen gets up from the couch to go get a drink, he clearly steps around Riley's legs dangling from the couch. Riley and Ever gape at each other and Riley disappears.

Ever and Damen go for a swim in Ever's pool that evening. Damen makes a remark about her bathing...
