Chapters 14 through 17 Summary

In Chapter Fourteen, Ever picks up Miles for school and he demands details. She admits she and Damen kissed but says things stopped at that. Later, Ever considers that she feels a strong connection to Damen but that he might not feel the same connection to her. At lunchtime, Haven is full of stories about her time at Nocturne. Ever realizes she's no longer wearing the yellow contacts as usual but now has made her eyes blue, just like Drina's. Haven reveals that she didn't see Damen at Nocturne.

In Chapter Fifteen, Damen calls and asks if he can give Ever a ride to school but she declines. The next morning, Ever asks Riley if she wants to ride to school as she often does. Riley says she has "an appointment," but doesn't elaborate. Damen convinces Ever to skip the afternoon...
