Summary

In Chapter 10, Peril is shocked by how cold Winter's scales feel against her. Winter begins to scream in pain. The NightWing who was with Winter is nearby and Peril shouts at her to get help. Peril knows Winter is going to die and there is nothing she can do about it. The others arrive and Peril knows they are just in time to see Winter die. Peril insists it was an accident but the others seem doubtful. Turtle produces the river rock from his pouch and places it on one of the burns. Every wound heals as Turtle moves the rock. Winter stands. Qibli asks Turtle for an explanation. Moon says the rock is animus-touched and realizes that Turtle is an animus. (An animus dragon has magic power.)
