Summary

In Chapter 2, a SkyWing dragonet named Carnelian died at Jade Mountain Academy recently. Queen Ruby is here to collect the body. Turtle and Peril get close enough to hear the conversation among Ruby, her SkyWing guards, and school officials Clay, Tsunami, and Sunny. (Tsunami is a SeaWing, and Sunny is a SandWing/NightWing hybrid. Both were part of the original dragonets of destiny.) Ruby clearly believes Peril is responsible for Carnelian's death, but the others assure her that is not what happened. Clay says his sister Sora was responsible for the fire. Peril hates that Clay is sad and wants to kill someone in retaliation. Peril knows Sunny is one of the few dragons other than Clay who tries to be nice to her. Yet, Peril also hates how annoyingly cheerful Sunny is all the time. Peril knows these are thoughts she cannot...
