A Miller-to-Be Summary
Eragon's Uncle Garrow accepts his son's plan for moving to work in the new mill and marry Katrina, much to Eragon's shock. Roran will be leaving in 2 weeks. Garrow accepts this by saying that it is a part of life. Over the next few days, Eragon struggles with the coming changes. He is able to talk to Saphira about this problem, and she listens to him daily.
Having Saphira is the best part of his life. She is wise and demonstrates it by sparing an eagle after she catches it. Saphira cautions Eragon about letting his uncle and cousin see her. He is apprehensive about their reaction to her and thinks his uncle will accuse him of being selfish. He decides to wait until the time is right.
The night before Roran is to leave, Eragon walks to his cousin's room...
