Chapter 4, Kiss: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3 Summary
In Part 1, Jericho has a flashback to when he slept with Claire. She rummages through his pockets and drawers. He thinks it is amusing. She finds Turing's paper on theoretical machines. She pronounces German perfectly. She finds the paycheck from Winston Churchill and he gets mad. Claire says he must have broken a major code to get this money. He gets mad and throws her violently on the bed. He feels terribly. The next morning, he wakes up , cashes the check and buys her a diamond ring. At that same time, things get bad for Jericho. The Germans move to a new code and Claire loses interest in him. Claire unofficially dumps him.
In Part 2, back in present time, Jericho hides Claire's secret documents behind the painting in his guestroom. He cannot betray her. He...
