Point of View
The point of view of the novel switches between the first person and the third person. The main hero character is Raul and he tells the story in a first-person narrative. The point of view is limited by his thoughts and assumptions about the action he witnesses. First person allows the reader into the mind and emotions of Raul in a more personal way than third person allows. The action is viewed through the filter of Raul's eyes.
