Chapters 17-20 Summary
In Chapter 17, Aenea comments that Raul's name is Endymion like the poem her father wrote. He has never heard of the poem. She says. "How fitting for Uncle Martin to choose a hero with such a name" (pg. 135.) Her father is the cloned cybrid of the poet John Keats, so he wrote the 20th century poem "Endymion." Raul explains to Aenea that the Pax is the military agent of the church and the controlling governing body. She explains that her dreams had gotten that right too, but does not elaborate.
Raul was to take Aenea to the Ousters, but she says she has changed her mind. She wants to travel to a Web world because the nearest Web world would have farcasters. That world is Renaissance Vector, a heavily populated Pax world. She sets the destination for Renaissance Vector by way...
