Summary

Chapter 44: Attacked opens with the group running from the Pale Guard. They get lost in the city and Gambler has to fight a creature called an arratoi, a spy for the Murdano. The Pale Guard surrounds them as Khara says Luca is looking for them. Gambler and Khara fight two guards while the third one pulls out a net. The guards begin to overwhelm them.

In Chapter 45: Beware the Angry Wobbyk, Byx tries to fight the guard attacking her. She is caught with the net as Khara is nearly knocked unconscious. Tobble suddenly attacks one of the guards, biting the man’s nose. He then attacks the second guard biting the man’s neck. Byx escapes her neck and stabs two of the guards. Gambler and Tobble take down...
