Summary

In “Penny,” Penny told Sam that her mother was coming. They learned that neither liked his mother. Sam explained his mother should not have been a mother because she was an alcoholic. He also thought she hated him. Penny explained her mother wanted to be her best friend, but Penny was a huge disappointment. Penny did not tell Sam, but she did not look forward to seeing her mother because Penny felt as if she was finally making a life for herself. She also did not want her mother involved in her relationship with Sam.
