Summary
In “Sam,” in response to Penny’s question if she should read the Harry Potter books again, Sam sent her a selfie of him wearing his second-best white dress shirt. He told her he was meeting Lorraine for dinner because Lorraine said they needed to talk. Penny replied that the shirt seemed desperate. Sam exchanged the dress shirt for a button-up shirt.
There was a time when Sam hated how thin he was. He did not get bulky because he had so little food as a child. His mother had refused to get need-based meals for him because it felt like charity even though she often benefits from worker’s comp for suspect reasons.
