Summary
Daddy receives a note from Mr. Price calling him out to a fight. The note says that if Daddy fights for Mr Price and wins, Price would sign the land over to Daniel and Cathy. Daddy speculates that if he loses, Price would still make a lot of money off the fight. It would be held in the woods overlooking a racetrack. The opponent would be much younger than Daddy and there is a chance that Daddy, because he is too old, might lose. Daniel walks to Vivien's house before the fight and she tells him that she is afraid Daddy might lose. His opponent is from Eastern Europe, and much younger. Vivien asks Daniel to urge his father to pull out of the fight, but Daniel says that he must fight for others and for their house.
