Summary

Chapter 18 opens with Eliza admitting that she is not producing as much work on Monstrous Sea because of how much time she spends interacting with Wallace. Eliza does not tell Wallace about her family at Thanksgiving or that her mother made her go to the doctor to get birth control. Eliza thinks about Wallace all the time. On the forums, Wallace tells Eliza he started reading the Children of Hypnos books and is surprised about how much they are about depression, which Eliza had not realized. Eliza confesses that it is easier for her to relate to characters than real people.
