Summary

Chapter 9 opens with Eliza finishing a sketch and getting gifts together to send to Emmy and Max. Emmy and Max have been chatting about Eliza and Wallace. Eliza joins the conversation. Eliza tells them about Wallace’s writing, but she does not share it because she does not have Wallace’s permission. They continue to chat, and the focus turns to Max and his girlfriend. Eliza is happy to have the focus off her.

In Chapter 10, Eliza sees Wallace in homeroom and he asks for comments on the pages he gave to her. Eliza tells Wallace the pages are good, but corrects on detail about the story.
